Forbes Park Lofts

This 18 acre waterfront brownfields complex, formerly the site of Forbes Lithographic Manufacturing Company, was reenvisioned as a live-work loft community in harmony with its surrounding environment. The innovative model of sustainability included a 250 megawatt wind turbine capable of generating electricity for 100+ apartments and a fleet of shared vehicles. Interior canal construction and investment in wetlands restoration brought native wildlife back to the shores despite years of contamination due to active shipping.
